Communication Arts I oversee the Student Success Center (SSC) at Grafton High School where I strive to provide an atmosphere where all students can learn and be successful. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Concordia University and a Masters of Arts degree in Literacy and a Reading Specialist license from Cardinal Stritch University. The SSC provides support to students in a variety of ways. Literacy and Writing Support is offered to address the needs of students in the areas of reading and writing who are currently not meeting course or grade level expectations. At-Risk Support is provided to give extra assistance to those students who are lacking skills necessary to achieve success in their classes. Credit Recovery support is designed for students who have course deficiencies by mastering learning standards rather than repeating the entire course. Tutoring support is also provided through the Student Success Center.
