I am excited to help students find joy in reading, writing and reflection. My journey with John Long Middle School started in 2025. Before becoming a teacher, I earned a Finance degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and spent nearly 20 years in the healthcare finance industry. Inspired by my children and my lifelong passion for literacy, I completed my teaching certification during the pandemic and discovered a true joy in education. My teaching journey has taken me from Assata High School in Milwaukee to three years at a private school in Guadalajara, Mexico, where my husband lives and works. I am now grateful to continue my career with the Grafton School District and to partner with families and colleagues in supporting student growth. Outside the classroom, I enjoy staying active through exercise, spending time outdoors, hiking, swimming, and of course—reading.
