I feel so fortunate to be a part of the Grafton School District and to be a part of your family’s journey during your child’s first grade experience. I am originally from the southside of Chicago, have moved around quite a bit over the years, but happily landed in Grafton with my family in 2017.  I went to University of Iowa and then earned my Master’s at DePaul University in Chicago. I previously taught 2nd grade in Chicago, IL and Kindergarten in Colchester, VT. I promise to work hard with you and our school teams to provide your child with the best possible education. I consider communication with families a top priority, so please never hesitate to reach out to me and share celebrations, questions, or concerns. 

I am married to my husband Mike, and we have two wonderful boys together, Benjamin and Alexander.  In 2022, we adopted a little furball of energy, the Regal Beagle, Fern.  She has added a lot of love and chaos to our family! Our kids’ schedules keep us pretty busy, but I do try to find time for my own hobbies. I find peace in creating art and enjoy going to a pottery studio in West Allis to build handmade bowls and wall hangings.  I love hiking, bike riding, gardening and reading, as well.
