Grafton Bands Webpage

Hello! My name is Joe Brown and I am entering my third year at GHS.  I lead our two curricular ensembles at GHS and 8th grade band at JLMS as well as teach Music Theory and AP Music Theory.  I grew up in Lakeville, MN and moved to Grafton in 2010.  I graduated from Grafton High School in 2017 and spent the next four years studying Instrumental Music Education at St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI.  At SNC I started the Pep Band and played on the tennis team for four years. 

I love teaching music and showing students the amazing power music has to connect us all.  I like to focus on each individual musician and how each of us can improve every single day.  A band is a team and when everyone works together to improve and play the best they can, that’s when the magic happens.  I am very excited that I have the opportunity to come back to my former high school and help to build the program that I came through.
