The Grafton School District believes in supporting Every Student, Every Day. Our mission is to prepare learners for a dynamic tomorrow and help them to be college and career-ready. We focus on educating the whole person, developing a wide variety of personal and social-emotional skills in our students that will help them to be successful beyond graduation. As one of the top K-12 school districts in the state, Grafton has earned the "Significantly Exceeds Expectations" rating on the State Report Card. Our students' strengths include not only a high level of academic achievement, but also various athletic, extracurricular, and community awards and recognition.
The Grafton School District has been awarded a Top Workplaces honor three years in a row by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 2023, 2024, and 2025! "This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and contributions of each and every member of our staff. We are grateful for their passion and commitment to making our district an extraordinary place. Our district is not only a great place to learn but also an exceptional place to work," said Jeff Nelson, superintendent of the Grafton School District.

The Grafton School District provides new staff with a highly engaging mentor program. All new hires are matched with a mentor who assists the individual teachers with support in all facets of teaching and learning. Additionally, Grafton has fully embraced collaborative teaching and learning by creating time and space for teachers to collaborate on a daily basis through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Finally, Grafton educators have an opportunity to participate regularly throughout the school year in professional development opportunities. This learning extends throughout the school year and continues into summer through the district's Learning Based Compensation (LBC) model. This professional development impacts teaching and learning while also adding to teachers' base salaries.
The Grafton School District is also committed to innovation. As a new teacher in Grafton, you will have access to the latest personal and classroom technology and support resources that are in place to help you and your students succeed.
